The Saint Lawrence Musical Society wishes to announce that for this year’s feast it will be hosting the Associazone Culturale Musicale Bandistica ‘Symphonica Citta di Viagrande’. This is thanks to a twinning agreement between the two musical societies. In fact last January the Saint Lawrence Band took part in the Feast of Saint Mauro in Viagrande, Sicily. Now it’s the turn of the band from Viagrande to participate in the feast of the Patron Saint of Vittoriosa, Saint Lawrence. On Tuesday 8th August l’ Associazone Culturale Musicale Bandistica ‘Symphonica Citta di Viagrande’ will start a band march at 8pm from Main Gate Street and afterwards perform a musical programme on the marvellous band stand situated in Vittoriosa Square. The following day, Thursday 9th August, the band will present a musical programme in the Toqba area before the pyrotechnic show ‘ La Notte di San Lorenzo’. The service will come to an end with a band march along the Vittoriosa Waterfont.
