On Sunday 9th April, 2017, Palm Sunday, the students and bandsmen of the Saint Lawrence Band together with their counterparts from the Saint Joseph Band Club, Kalkara presented a Musical Programme with Holy Week music being played. In this progamme, which due to bad weather was held in the Hall adjacent to the Kalkara Church, the Band played several musical themes and funeral marches. The Band was under the direction of Assistant Bandmaster Francois Borg and Music teacher Andrew Zarb.
