The march of the 8TH August with the statue of Saint Lawrence Giving Light to the Blind, was a colossal one, with thousands of Maltese and Gozitans joining the great cheers from the people of Vittoriosa. Saint Lawrence Band together with the Soc. Phil. Nazionale La Valette accompanied the march until the placing of the statue on the column.
