The Saint Lawrence Band has just received funds to be used for the restoration of certain parts of Palazzo Huesca. This work includes dismantling of a wall overlooking the courtyard, the building of an ‘opramorta’ and more restoration works. Parlamentary Secretary Clifton Grima, who presented the agreement, said that the Government is there not only to congratulate the voluntary organizations for their sterling work but also to help by giving funds to be used appropriately. The President of the Band Mr Lawrence V. Farrugia thanked Dr Clifton Grima for his commitment towards finding the necessary funds to help one of the oldest band clubs on the island.
