Last Sunday, 27 January 2019, the Internationally renowned Music Director Lawrence Renes visited Palazzo Huesca, home of the Saint Lawrence Band Club of Vittoriosa. Mro Renes was given a tour of  Palazzo Huesca where he was impressed with the decor and riches it possesses, especially the musical gems found in the Club’s Musical Archives.  Mro Renes was in Malta since on Saturday 26 January 2019, he held a concert with the Malta Philarmonic Orchestra named “The Romantic Symphony”. Born in 1970, Lawrence Renes has deep and strong ties with Vittoriosa and its patron saint Saint Lawrence, since his mother was born in Vittoriosa and above everything, as suggested by his name. in the next edition of the band club’s newsletter, Mro Renes was interviewed by Paul Micallef in the relevant section.
