Memorable Day for our Glorious City

Today Tuesday the 30th day of July, 2019 marks the 75th Anniversary from when the statue of Saint Lawrence, Patron Saint of Vittoriosa was brought back from the Cospicua Colleggiate Church to the Vittoriosa Colleggiate Church. 75 years ago the Statue of Saint Lawrence made its way amongst the rubble that was left following the Second World War.

The Devotion towards this great Saint is still strong and this evening following a Pontificial Mass which starts at 6pm, the procession will commence. The Saint Lawrence Band, being the Parish and Vittoriosa Band was always there in the important and memorable events.

And that’s what’s going to happen tonight when together with the Saint George’s Band, Cospicua they will player hymns along the streets of Cospicua and Vittoriosa. We encourage all the people of Vittoriosa to come over and be part of this memorable event.
