On Saturday 9th June 2018, the Saint Lawrence Band Club participated in the Bands Festival at Senglea, in order to commemorate the 400 years anniversary of the statue of Our Lady of Victories. The Saint Lawrence Band  began playing festive marches just outside the Gardjola Garden, and was joined by the other Cottonera Bands in front of the Parish Church. All bands were joined in a Massed Band, and a number of different Hymns were played during a commemorative ceremony in front of the Basilica. It must be said that the Saint Lawrence Band  was a showcase with its elegant uniform and extravagant flag, which together with the musicians made this band service memorable. This band service concluded a very busy week for the Saint Lawrence Band , following the Birgu Spring Concert held on Wednesday 6th June and the participation in the procession of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Vittoriosa. Truly known as the Birgu Band Club.
