A much awaited day by the Vittoriosa people is without a doubt the Day of the Antivigil of St. Lawrence. The statue of St. Lawrence healing the blind was carried through the streets of our city accompanied by the marches of the band.

This year the La Valette Philharmonic Society was also invited where after a musical program on the platform, it joined our band to play the marches alternately.

At the end of the march the two bands joined in a mass band where the climax was reached when the statue of Saint Lawrence was raised on the high pedestal.
